At the February 21st Wausaukee Board of Education meeting, District Administrator Bob Berndt (Pictured on the Left) presented Elmer Busick with a Certificate of Recognition from the Wisconsin Association of School Board for 20 years of Service to the students and the community of Wausaukee. Congratulations Elmer!

The open enrollment application period runs from February 5, 2018 to April 30, 2018, for the 2018/2019 school year. This program allows parents to send their children to any public school district in the state.

Traditionally, children in Wisconsin are assigned to public school districts based on the location of their parents' home. Open enrollment gives parents the option of having their children attend a public school district other than the one in which they live.

Parents are encouraged to apply online at  Application deadlines are firm.  Early and late applications are not accepted.

For more information please contact Laura Figas, School District of Wausaukee’s District Administrative Assistant, at 715-856-5153, ext. 413. You can also stop in the District Office and pick up an open enrollment brochure, or visit DPI's open enrollment website at
